Mind&Social Event Recap <> Empowering Transitions

Panelists

🫶Wow—what an event! The Empowering Transitions: Embracing Growth, Change, and New Beginnings event co-hosted by Mind&Social and UPWARD Atlanta was nothing short of incredible. Not only did I get to moderate the panel, but I also walked away feeling just as inspired as the other amazing women in the room. With over 50 people in the room, the energy was undeniable.

The conversations on stage were raw, real, and powerful—stories of resilience, reinvention, and bold career moves. What struck me the most wasn’t just the wisdom shared but the energy in the room. Women pulled me aside after the panel to say they felt seen, inspired, and needed to hear those stories. That’s exactly why we do this.

Biggest take-aways:

- Protect your time. <> Set aside dedicated moments in the morning and evening to pause, breathe, and reset.

- Delegate and detach.<> If you hand something off, truly let it go—don’t micromanage.

- Culture matters.<>Not everyone is the right fit for your business, and that’s perfectly fine. Be open and honest about your culture during the interview process to set expectations

- Honesty is kindness.<> Being upfront helps everyone in the long run.

- Own your success.<> If you don’t advocate for yourself, who will? Self-promotion is a skill, and like any muscle, it gets stronger with practice.

- Confidence isn’t about being the loudest in the room.<> Let your results speak for you instead of trying to change who you are.

- Discipline wins over motivation.<> Motivation fades, but consistent effort creates lasting success.

- Know your worth—get paid.<> If you’re working for free, you’re not running a business; you’re volunteering.

- Give yourself grace.<> Growth takes time.

- Find your story.<> Your journey is your strength—own it.

- Make space for joy.<> Play, laugh, and enjoy the ride.

Which one resonates with you the most?
