10 reasons why we created Mind & Social
We got sick of paying $10,000.00 to exhibit at trade shows in order to meet people just to walk away feeling drained and like it wasn’t worth it. (Can we get an ‘Amen because dang are those shows are expensive for small companies)
While we were starting previous businesses, we had always wished we had our own support group that we could reach out to when we ran into a challenge or needed a recommendation (without judgement or breaking the bank).
We dreamed of a digital community that could offer business partner recommendations that were vetted for us versus us spending the little time we had researching, interviewing, and hiring.
We got tired of the stuffy, boring, suit & tie way of networking. (Enough said)
Selfishly, we wanted a community that understood what it meant to start a business, grow a business, or be a part of a growing business so we could let off steam with them and get support as well.
Growing a business or network is already siloed, fragmented, and exhausting experience. We saw a need to combine a digital and physical community together so you could get business support any time you needed.
Your professional or entrepreneurial journey can be lonely. Why do it alone when we could excel at it together.
We have made a lot of mistakes starting new businesses and we wanted to support our Founder friends by ensuring they didn’t make the same mistakes we did!
We kept meeting AMAZING founders and business executives and spent so much time trying to connect them together… so why not make it more formal … and create a new podcast while we were at it so you could hear their stories too!
We wanted to bring the fun back to starting businesses or growing within a business. Through our own experiences, we know it can lead you down a path a burn out and isolation. It’s time we put our foot down to that story and create a new one. One that is full of support, enjoyable experiences, good people, and real value. And we cannot wait to create that community with you.
